Elfriede Algera, Owner, Director, Animal Nutritionist
Our business is spearheaded by our very own qualified, professionally registered animal nutritionist. Elfriede has more than 10 years experience in the animal nutrition and feed industry, having worked as a nutritionist for some major national and international feed additive and animal feed manufacturing companies.
She holds a Master's degree in Animal Science with specialization in Animal Nutrition, as well as an international post-graduate diploma in Companion Animal Nutrition, a certificate in Equine Nutrition and various other certifications in pet nutrition. She is also a member of the South African society of Animal Science.
Elfriede is passionate about research and science, and believes in the sharing of knowledge. She has been part-time lecturing to the final year animal science students of the University of Pretoria in both Companion Animal Nutrition and Equine Nutrition for the past couple of years.
She resides in Hermanus with her husband, a veterinary surgeon, and all of their fur-babies. She enjoys family time, hiking, cycling, being outdoors and reading.
